NFL HEDGIE SUNDAY

 

San Fransisco -3 (-120)   3 STARS 

  The 49ers are hot and appear to be starting to peak.  The Bears have been a great cinderella story and just clinched the NFC North when the Packers lost to the Ravens last night.  Both teams could win outright and secure the #1 seed for the playoffs . This game is meaningful . But the Bears have had alot of good fortune while the 49ers have played a tougher schedule and are starting to get healthy again.  Hedgie trusts Kyle Shanahan and his stars much more in this spot.

JETS +14 - 1 STAR    The Pats are dealing with a ton of injuries and are laying too many points on the road . They only need the win .

HEDGIE NFL SATURDAY PLAY

The Hedgie is going back to the TEASER WELL Today.

The Ravens and Packers are both dealing with injuries and will be starting their backups QB's in Malik Willis and Tyler Huntley.  The weather in Green Bay is 35 degrees and with Huntley at the helm , The Hedgie suspects Derek Henry will get a heavy workload .  Vegas' expectation for this  game is a low scoring affair with the total set at 38.5.   So this game feels like it sets up for a one score game whoever may win.  Right now the Ravens are getting +3.5 at most books so Hedgie will be shopping lines and looking for the 2 team teaser that offers 6.5 points at -120 . A good prop play here would be Derek Henry OVER 16.5 carries . However , it is a popular pick and that line has been steamed up to 17 and even 18.  Stay disciplined and don't chase the prop plays .

  The other leg of the teaser should have a playoff feel to it. With the Chargers and Texans both playing well and chasing the Jags and Broncos for better playoff seeds , this game will be intense.  The total here is also set low at 39.5 and rightfully so.  The Texans defense is elite and has a big advantage over the Chargers banged up Oline.  While the Chargers have quietly been playing great defense as well the second half of the season.  The Value here is teasing the home dog to over a touchdown.  Right now the Chargers are favored by -2 so teasing the Texans to +8.5 feels like a no brainer.

Both home teams are out of the playoffs and playing out the string with backup QBs.  The Lions need help but still can make the playoffs if they win their next 2 games and the Packers lose their next 2.  They will be facing QB Max Brosmer since JJ Mccarthy has been ruled out.  Max is not a quality NFL quarterback. HC Dan Campbell will have his Lions ready for this one.   

The Commanders are also starting a 3rd string QB. Marcus Mariota has been ruled out which leaves them with Josh Johnson who was not inspiring last week with his 5-9 for 43 yard stat line.  The Cowboys' playoff hopes were dashed last week with a loss to the Chargers but they should be motivated to win this game vs their rival Washington.  

The betting lines on both road favorites are inflated quite a bit and continue to rise.  That's why the Hedgie likes teasing both teams down below key numbers like 7, 4and 3.   Get your wager down sooner than later ..

In week 9. QB Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome injury dislocating his elbow.   That play has represented the Commanders seasn in a nutshell.  Some painful loses and  alot of injuries .  They have lost 7 straight games . But today Jayden Has been cleared to play and the Commanders have a healthy roster for once.   The Viking also get back their startiung QB JJ Mcarthy but he has not played very well.   The Commanders need this game and will come in healthy and confident.  Let's throw in a PROP play as well.       PROP : DEEBO Samuels ANYTIME TD. +180 ( 100 to win 180)

Bengals +6.5  2 STARS -  this line keeps creeping up so try and get the +6.5.  But +6 fine too.  Bengals have Joe Burrow back and the Bills are not playing  like their old selves. 

Ravens -5.5. 1 STAR -  Steelers gave up 249 rushing yards last week toi the Bills and now travel to see Lamar and Derek Henry.     Best play for the HEdgie here is a

Texans +4  3 STARS -  Chiefs have urgency and are at home. But they always play close games and the TExans Defense has been great. Texans get CJ Stroud back as well.
