Hedgie Super Bowl LV

 Most of the money and pundits have been betting the Seahawks at -4.5 and Under 46 total points.  The line has shifted towards Seattle -5. and even some -5.5.  The Total has dropped to 45 so far today.   The Hedgie sees a coaching advantage for the Patriots.  Vrable is a great in game play caller and always is extremely prepared for all scenarios. Vrable has played in THREESuper Bowls as a player.  Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels had coached in TEN Super Bowls.   Both teams have very good defenses and QB's that can be turnover prone.  So the Hedgie sees a conservative gameplan by both teams waiting patiently for opportunities to exploit.  The Pats were underdogs six times this season and went 4-2 ATS.   There are some lines moving around out there . Hedgie saw a +5.5 and bet  extra juice to get +6 for (-120). But even at +4.5 that's a play for the Hedgie.

HEDGIE NFL Championship Sunday

 

Hedgie believes in Sean Payton and his record with backup QB's.  He brought Stidham in to replace Russ Wilson before Bo Nix won the job.    But the Hedgie thinks the advantage lies in a very good Denver OLINE and being at home getting 4.5 points feels like a winner

There's alot of money on Miami getting +8.5 +8 +7.5 and Hedgie thinks it might even hit +7 at kickoff. You can get Indiana -7 (-120) now in alot of spots and that's what the Hedgie did.  

Indiana has been DOMINATING all season. And in these playoffs beat Alabama and Oregon both by a combined 94-25 .

Hedgie sees more of the same tonight.

HEDGIE HAS MORE PLAYS SUNDAY AFTER GOING 2-0 YESTERDAY !

The Hedgie believes Trent Williams is the most important player for the 49ers to have active.  He missed week 18 due to a hamstring and had some light practice this Thursday and Friday. Trent said he was optimistic he'd play but what was even more telling was the 49ers roster moves Saturday. The 49ers elevated LB Turner Graham and WR Malik Turner. By NOT activating a backup Olineman this signals the 49ers feel good about Trent Williams as a go .  

The public has bet the Eags up all week from -3.5 to -6 in many spots.    Don't misinterpret the Hedgie here. The 49ers have struggled on defense and have not been very good since they lost their stuf LB Fred Turner in week 7.  So the Eagles backers probably feel strongly about Saquan Barkley and AJ Brown having good games.  That probably signals a lean twoards the OVER 44.5 total.   But with Trent Williams a go this opens up the 49ers offense and witnh a Coach like Kyle Shanahan the 49ers are a very live underdog.

The weather is mild in Jacksonville and the very trending and popular pick is on the Jags here.  They have won 8 straight games and are hot. The line has moved all the way from Bills as a -1.5 favorite to now the Jaguars -1.5.    With the mild weather Hedgie sees some heroics and scoring (Mostly from Josh Allen) The total is high at 51 so The Hedgie prefers to take the VALUE and TEASE the Bills and over.

NFL HEDGIE SATURDAY TEASER - WEEK 18

 The Panthers beat the Bucs just 2 weeks ago 23-20 . The Buds Oline is a mess as they have lost 7 of their last 8 gam,es.  It's amazing they can even win the NFC South.  Baker Mayfield is a gamer but he's banged up and this week his RIGHT SHOULDER appeared on the injury report . 

 The 49ers are starting to get their groove on with Brock Purdy again.  TE Kittle will play tonight as well as it's all hands on deck for a top seed in the playoffs.   Hedgie loves getting more than a TD in what shold be a tight game. 

Also,  nice  value getting +3 with the Panthers  for 1 star but Hedgie loves the TEASER Today:

San Fransisco -3 (-120)   3 STARS 

  The 49ers are hot and appear to be starting to peak.  The Bears have been a great cinderella story and just clinched the NFC North when the Packers lost to the Ravens last night.  Both teams could win outright and secure the #1 seed for the playoffs . This game is meaningful . But the Bears have had alot of good fortune while the 49ers have played a tougher schedule and are starting to get healthy again.  Hedgie trusts Kyle Shanahan and his stars much more in this spot.

JETS +14 - 1 STAR    The Pats are dealing with a ton of injuries and are laying too many points on the road . They only need the win .

HEDGIE NFL SATURDAY PLAY

The Hedgie is going back to the TEASER WELL Today.

The Ravens and Packers are both dealing with injuries and will be starting their backups QB's in Malik Willis and Tyler Huntley.  The weather in Green Bay is 35 degrees and with Huntley at the helm , The Hedgie suspects Derek Henry will get a heavy workload .  Vegas' expectation for this  game is a low scoring affair with the total set at 38.5.   So this game feels like it sets up for a one score game whoever may win.  Right now the Ravens are getting +3.5 at most books so Hedgie will be shopping lines and looking for the 2 team teaser that offers 6.5 points at -120 . A good prop play here would be Derek Henry OVER 16.5 carries . However , it is a popular pick and that line has been steamed up to 17 and even 18.  Stay disciplined and don't chase the prop plays .

  The other leg of the teaser should have a playoff feel to it. With the Chargers and Texans both playing well and chasing the Jags and Broncos for better playoff seeds , this game will be intense.  The total here is also set low at 39.5 and rightfully so.  The Texans defense is elite and has a big advantage over the Chargers banged up Oline.  While the Chargers have quietly been playing great defense as well the second half of the season.  The Value here is teasing the home dog to over a touchdown.  Right now the Chargers are favored by -2 so teasing the Texans to +8.5 feels like a no brainer.

Both home teams are out of the playoffs and playing out the string with backup QBs.  The Lions need help but still can make the playoffs if they win their next 2 games and the Packers lose their next 2.  They will be facing QB Max Brosmer since JJ Mccarthy has been ruled out.  Max is not a quality NFL quarterback. HC Dan Campbell will have his Lions ready for this one.   

The Commanders are also starting a 3rd string QB. Marcus Mariota has been ruled out which leaves them with Josh Johnson who was not inspiring last week with his 5-9 for 43 yard stat line.  The Cowboys' playoff hopes were dashed last week with a loss to the Chargers but they should be motivated to win this game vs their rival Washington.  

The betting lines on both road favorites are inflated quite a bit and continue to rise.  That's why the Hedgie likes teasing both teams down below key numbers like 7, 4and 3.   Get your wager down sooner than later ..

In week 9. QB Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome injury dislocating his elbow.   That play has represented the Commanders seasn in a nutshell.  Some painful loses and  alot of injuries .  They have lost 7 straight games . But today Jayden Has been cleared to play and the Commanders have a healthy roster for once.   The Viking also get back their startiung QB JJ Mcarthy but he has not played very well.   The Commanders need this game and will come in healthy and confident.  Let's throw in a PROP play as well.       PROP : DEEBO Samuels ANYTIME TD. +180 ( 100 to win 180)

Ravens -5.5. 1 STAR -  Steelers gave up 249 rushing yards last week toi the Bills and now travel to see Lamar and Derek Henry.     Best play for the HEdgie here is a
