The betting angle on Andrew Luck and the Colts is that Luck is 14-1  against the spread after a straight up loss …

But the hedgie sees this a bit differently -  the line this week was Colts -7    there is some heavy action past 24 hours on the Jets  dues to injury updates. Cromartie is playing . Ivory is playing.  The Colts invested all the resources in the offseason on the offense and the Jets will be able to run the ball tonight against a so so defense and they will compete….

The Hedgie is going to open the season LIGHTLY…and snuggle up to the books...

The Steelers are coming in just too depleted for this one.  Big Ben will extend plays and remind us all how good he is but he will be without his starting center ,  L Bell (2 game suspension), and Martavius Bryant ( 4 game suspension).  He'll get his points with Brown, Miller and Wheaton. But the emotion here is clearly on the side of the Pats.  Brady will find Gronk and the pats despite not having starting center will put up points.  Both teams have depleted secondaries which lends itself to a TEASER:

PATS -1  and OVER 44.5  just 1 star( be patient)

Late junky play :  Western Kentucky Hilltoppers  +2  1 star

8pm kickoff   Revenge spot and 2 extra days to prepare

THE HEDGIE has decided to start the season tonight …...

Bud Foster has a dominant defense to work with the year and tonight at home is a great spot to take the Hokies.  It's a monday night home game and although the Buckeyes are very talented they have a couple key players sitting out with suspensions.  The Hokies will keep this closer than the line…
