The HEDGIE NFL WEEK 2

The Saints have owned the Bucs in the Tom Brady era. The Bucs head to New Orleans as 2.5 point favorites. A sexy popular play this week has been the SAINTS as a home underdog. Today it was announced that Saints RB Kamara will be OUT and this make Hedgie really likes TB12 to get his first win vs Saints as a Buc.

 BUCS -2 2 stars Teaser: Bucs +4 and UNDER 50 1 star 

 JAGS +3.5 1 STAR - The Colts travel to Jacksonville and were 4 point favorites all week BUT WR Pittman has been ruled out as well as WR Alec Pierce ( concussion) . get down on the Jags sooner than later. +3.5 ideal but +3 ok too

 AFC NORTH TEASER : Steelers +9 & Bengals -1 : 1 STAR - money in on the Pats and pushed this line from -1.5 to -3. Total is low at 40.5 Great value on Steelers at home. Bengals ( Burrow) turned the ball over 5 times last week . Cowboys Dak is injured. Bengals will get the road win .

 3 TEAM TEASER (10 points) : PACKERS pickem ; RAMS pickem ; BRONCOS pickem : 3 good teams all started 0-1. all now at Home. All Veteran QBs and will find a way to win - 1 STAR

 Teaser: Panthers +7 & OVER 37 1 STAR : Money in on the Panthers and driving line from +2.5 to +1. Giants starting DB ruled out. Fine taking Panthers outright as well Dolphins +3.5 1 STAR ( only if can get the 'hook' at 3.5 otherwise pass)

After 25 years THE HEDGIE is offering weekly, monthly , annual MEMBERSHIP .    The Picks have always been free advice and will continue to be free.  On weekends  The Hedgie Picks will be released Saturday and Sunday mornings.    However,  Membership will include  mid week ALERTS , Injury updates, Weather updates and / or anything that can give a Member an EDGE vs the book before the lines change too much .   With the Explosion of DFS , The Hedgie has also had some success playing DFS games and Members will get access to the Hedgie's DFS cards.

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL - Palmer should shine tonight

 

Tonight The Chiefs host the Chargers at 8:15pm. The line opened Chiefs -3 and 52 .  News of Chargers WR Keenan Allen not playing due to a hamstring has bettors on the Chiefs . the line is now Chiefs -4 and the Total has risen to 54.  

    The Hedgier agrees with the Total moving higher.  Although  Keenan Allen will miss the game The Chargers have plenty of weapons. QB Herbert started where he left off and found 7 different receivers in last weeks win over the Raiders.    Josh PALMER gets the start at WR tonight and Hedgie expects a big night out of Palmer.
    There are some props out there ( Draftkings)  for Palmer 2.5 /1 to score a TD tonight and Hedcie likes that .

    The Chiefs and Mahomes looked unstoppable last week as well.  Hedgie expects a shootout tonight :

The Hedgie is back for Season 25 ! Yep, 25th ANNIVERSARY and going to try and add a few wrinkles...

 

The Super Bowl Champs are opening the season as HOME DOGS to the Buffalo Bills . This is mostly due to the fact that Matthew Stafford had elbow surgery this offseason and is possibly not healthy.  The Hedgie sees this as a potential problem as the season goes but for TONIGHT his elbow is just fine.  Bills star DB , White , is OUT and HC McVay has a stellar 5-0 record on his past 5 opening days.   He's a great game planner and will have a good scheme tonight .   The Bills are for real  but tonight is  :

 RAMS +2.5   (might even get +3 by kickoff)   1 star

As for the rest of the season :

   Hedgie is going to offer "MEMBERSHIP' and give access to writeups and content all week long.  Membership will be very reasonable and look something like :

Monthly - content and info $19

Annual - content and info thru the Super Bowl $99

 The usual Hedgie content will be free releases Saturday and Sundays.   The added content may include 'Alerts' , injury news, Weather news,  Props , Draft Kings and or Fanduel Lineups , etc etc . The Hedgie spends anywhere from 20-40 hours weekly on his craft and had made an average of 200 plays each season.  So a $99 seasonal  value gets you content and basically less than 50 cents per play.
