Happy Halloween from the Hedgie. So far this year there have been scary results from teams that have come off a bye. Of those 12 teams the records are 3-9 straight up and 4-7-1 against the spread.

The Hedgie thinks this week the rested team coming off a bye that will be most dangerous is the PATS -2.5 @ Pitt. Hines Ward is declared out for this game as well as LB James Farrior. Belechil and Brady coming off a bye is plain ole SCARY....

Redskins/Panthers UNDER 43.5 4 stars

The Hedgie will continue to back the UNDER in skins games until vegas adjusts properly. In week 1 they went over 41 in a 28-14 win vs the NY Giants and ever since have gone UNDER. The defense is underrated and Shannahan will continue to commit to the run. This week the team will rally around John beck who makes his first NFL start . Hedgie expects a game plan to protect the ball on the road. The Panthers defense has been susceptible to the run. Expect a total around 38...

The Hedgie will back the better QB on a winning team after a bye week. The Jets have not looked good and have

had a shirt week to prepare for San Diego. Expect Phillip Rivers to exploit Cromartie in the passing game.

Jacory Harris is playing the best football of his career and currently the 2nd rated passer in the ACC after 6 games. Although Miami's D- Line has been banged up they do get back suspended DE Olivier Vernon this game.
