THURSDAY NIGHT NFL
Tonight turns out to be a big play for the hedgie...
The Broncos just won the AFC West this past week (9-3) and have a big AFC showdown the following week at Baltimore which could determine home field in the playoffs. It's been a short week and the Broncos who often start slow could come out flat....
On the other hand the Raiders have been abysmal. But they will always get up for this match and there's a lil extra emotion in Raiders Camp with the passing of Coach Allen's Father this week...
Expect the Raiders to start the game with high emotion and a lot of focus. Darren Mcfadden is expected to play which will give the offense a boost and they should be able to exploit the Denver linebackers with TE Brandon Myers in the passing game as well.
Not sure the Raiders will be able to hang on especially after halftime when Peyton Manning makes great adjustments but in this game at home on national tv the raiders will keep it close at least the first half ....

sidenote: in lieue of the chiefs murder/suicide tragedy the NFL has decided the game will go on today. the line on friday was panthers -3 39.5 today it has opened up panthers -5.5 41. hedgie can't see how the chiefs will 'rally' around this type of incident or stay focused. so if there's any play at all it would be on the visiting panthers who are starting to play better
