HEDGIE WEATHER UPDATE and......GOLF.....what??

First of all Hurricane IAN is currently CRUSHING he west coast of Florida right now ( Wednesday night).   All of te sharp bettor got their UNDERS in on the Totals on Monday and Tuesday.  a few games that will be affected to keep an eye on are :

NC State/Clemson. Total opened 46.5  now 40.5

Virginia /Duke . Total opened 56.5 now 48.5

Texas State / James Madison Total opened 56.5 now 50.5

UTEP/Charlotte Total opened 57.5 now 50.5

These early line moves are not a guarantee. The weather can still change and if winds get lighter or shift a game may become a nice over play as well.   

Hedgie does not have any particular weather plays at the moment but an early NCAA release for Saturday is :

Also,  The Hedgie has had some success in GOLF the past year and may be adding a Golf segment in Hedgie's 25th Anniversary Year 

This week is The Sanderson Farms in Mississippi

Picking outright winner is very difficult and it's important to manage your bankroll.  The Hedgie likes to also play some DFS tournaments as well. So for this week in GOLF  Hedgie is sprinkling a couple small plays on some Mississippi natives who know the course well and putt well on the native Bermuda Greens

HEDGIE COMING OFF A 9-2 Star Weighted Weekend has a 1 Star play on MNF

 

Giants  new Head Coach Brian Daboll is an offensive Guru  and has not been easy on his QB Daniel Jones.   The Giants are off to a 2-0 start and star RB  Barkley looks healthy .   

   However , the Cowboys come to town feeling confident with backup QB  Cooper Rush after defeating the  the Bengals at home 20-17  last week .

   The Vegas line opened Giants -4.5  and has since been taking on Cowboys money and is all the way to a pickem in some spots.  The Total has also dropped from  40 to 38.5

   This is a spot where the hedgie likes  to ZIG while others are zagging.     

  TEASER : GIANTS +6  and OVER  32.5    1 STAR

NFL WEEK 3

 The Hedgie does not love the card this week.  Hopefully you got Arkansas +2.5 yesterday which would give you a 5-1 star weighted day !

1pm Teaser : Panthers +8.5 and Titans +8 2 stars

1pm Teaser : Chiefs +1.5 and UNDER 57 1 star

1pm Miami was getting +6 early in week. The money flowing in on the Fish with the Bills banged up on defense (4 starters out) and traveling short week to the South Florida heat.   Lean Dolphins but get best line

1pm : money in on the Commanders as home dog but Hedgie doesn’t see it. If can get Eagles -5.5 or 5 at kickoff it’s a 1 star play

4:15pm game.  Chargers ‘ QB Herbert likely not playing.   Line dropped from -7.5 to -3.  Pass

MONDAY NIGT FOOTBALL DOUNLE HEADER - The Hedgie is coming off a 6-2 STAR WEIGHTED SUNDAY

 

In 2017  new Vikings HC  Kevin O'Connell was Kirk Cousins QB Coach in Washington.  Now they Reunite and The Hedgie already sees big improvements with teh Vikings Offense.  This could be a big year for Cousins with all the weapons he has .  WR Jefferson may be the best WR in the game right now and O'Connell has already devised multiple formations and way to get Jefferson the ball. 

 The Eagles exploded for 38 points in a win in week 1 and this game has high scoring written all over it.

 In the  betting world there is money coming in on the Eagles. This line has gone up from -2  to -3 in many spots .   Many gamblers and fan are well aware the Cousins has struggled in the bright lights on Monday Night Football. But the Hedgie sees this differently 

VIKINGS +3  2 STARS

TEASER :  Vikings  +9  and OVER  43.5  1 STAR 

BILLS / TITANS  :  Bills looks great   in week 1  and Titans did not.  This line in the premarket lookahead this summer was bills -7.5       The inflated line makes sense.  Who would bet on the Titans in this spot ?       If  the line hits -10.5  the Hedgie will nibble small on the Titans as a pure 'overreaction play'     Double digit  prime time dogs  in the NFL  tend to usually bite

The HEDGIE NFL WEEK 2

The Saints have owned the Bucs in the Tom Brady era. The Bucs head to New Orleans as 2.5 point favorites. A sexy popular play this week has been the SAINTS as a home underdog. Today it was announced that Saints RB Kamara will be OUT and this make Hedgie really likes TB12 to get his first win vs Saints as a Buc.

 BUCS -2 2 stars Teaser: Bucs +4 and UNDER 50 1 star 

 JAGS +3.5 1 STAR - The Colts travel to Jacksonville and were 4 point favorites all week BUT WR Pittman has been ruled out as well as WR Alec Pierce ( concussion) . get down on the Jags sooner than later. +3.5 ideal but +3 ok too

 AFC NORTH TEASER : Steelers +9 & Bengals -1 : 1 STAR - money in on the Pats and pushed this line from -1.5 to -3. Total is low at 40.5 Great value on Steelers at home. Bengals ( Burrow) turned the ball over 5 times last week . Cowboys Dak is injured. Bengals will get the road win .

 3 TEAM TEASER (10 points) : PACKERS pickem ; RAMS pickem ; BRONCOS pickem : 3 good teams all started 0-1. all now at Home. All Veteran QBs and will find a way to win - 1 STAR
