The Hedgie is a bit surprised that the 49ers are favored and the line has held steady at -2 and 47.5 Total. Both teams have strong defenses and this will be the best secondary that QB Purdy will face this year.  If either team has a weakness it's vs the run.   

    On the big stage both Head Coaches will lean heavily on their best players and in this instance the 49ers will rely heavily on McCaffery , Deebo and Kittles While the Chiefs will obviosly continue their short passing game with Mahomes and Kelce.  The 49ers Dline looks good in photos but DE Chase Young is a weakness.  The Chiefs should exploit the edges with RB Pacheco

AS famous Sports Gambler Billy Walters recently pointed out , The chiefs have advantages at two huge positions :  QB. & Kicker.  This is Mahomes 3rd Super Bowl appearance and he's won 2 of those.  Kicker Butker has a very strong leg and was 33-35 on FG attempts this year .

Brandon Aiyuk - OVER 62.5 receiving yards. All keys will be on Mccaffery Deebo and Kittles. Aiyiuk has made some big plays this season and will have many 1 on 1 opportunities 

 Pacheco - OVER 68.5 yards rushing - Chiefs game plan should be heavy run oriented.

NFL SUNDAY PLAYOFFS ...Hedgie's Streak extends to 18-3-1.....

 3PM    BUCS +6.5   1 STAR

     Bucs should be able to exploit the Lions soft secondary with Evans , Godwin and Pass catching RB White.  Bowles a great defensive coordinator and will have a good gameplan vs a team they faced and lost to earlier this year.

    Initial thoughts are on Bills at home -2.5  BUT the Bills have some injuries on defense and The Chiefs come in with 2 extra days rest . 

NFL DIVISIONAL ROUND. - update

 430 pm Ravens -9.5 and 43.5 ......Hedgie leaning Texans if can catch +10..but TE Mark Andrews practiced all week and with 30 mph wind gusts Hedgie is going to wait to post until 330pm

updating -  NO MARK ANDREWS this game.  Although the Ravens will be prepared and rested and'should ' win at home HEDGIE sees alot of value on TEXANS  FIRST HALF !  CJ Stroud is playing Elite ball right now and the Texans will come in hot and confident.   You can catch Texans +7 in the first half.    3 STARS

Prop : Lamar JAckson OVER 52 rush yards...  just like Josh Allen in these big stakes games Lamar will take matters into his own hands and run more than usual.

    There are mostly +10s out there but if you wait you can probably catch +10.5.  When this game was scheduled for Sunday  +10 was a popular pick because of the bad weather and it started trending towards +9. But today the weather is beter and the Bills will be able to play their regular gameplan.  Althogh no Gabe Davis for the Bills hurts a little.  

    Even bigger news is that TJ Watt is out for the Steelers.  Once Mike Tomlin switched to QB Mason Rudolph the Steelers showed some life.  Najee Harris is playing well again.   With this total still low around 38.5 getting +10.5 points is just too much

The Eagles come in banged up and will be without their best wideout AJ Brown.  Also, Jalen Hurts has sore finger on his throwing hand and the Eagles secondary is dinged up as well.  Baker Mayfield has some sore ribs but will gut it out.   Big advantage to the Bucs wideouts  Evans and Godwin in this matchup . The Bucs are 6-2 under at home the Eags are 7-2 Under on the road.   This game feels like a  21-20 kinda game .

SUNDAY WILDCARD WEEKEND - Hedgie goes 2-1 and extends NFL streak to 11-3-1...

Packers +7.5  (-120)  3 STARS

The Cowboys have been outstandinbg at home averagngf 35 points per game. However,  they are laying more than a full TD and the syrging Packers are coming to town. The Packers have won 3 sraight . Jordon Love has played very well lately posting a 9 TD - 0 int ratio the past 4 games. This is no coincidence as Aaron Jones is now fully healthy.  Hedgie believe Jones is the key to this game. Jones has rushed for 358 yards the last 3 games which leads all RBs.   Jones rushed for 127 yards against Carolina, 120 against Minnesota , and 111 against Chicago.  He's clearly fully recovered from his knee injury and his opens up the play action pass for Love.  

  The Cowboys have great offensive weapons but also give up chunk yards.  Hedgie sees HC Lafleur outcoaching Mccarthy in this one as well.   The Packers can win this game outright so if you believe that you can also grab almost 3/1 on the moneyline.

RAMS +3.5 (-120)  2 STARS

The Rams were able to rest last week while the Lions played their starters and lost a key player in TE LaPorta.   Coach McVay has the the playoff experience and knows QB Goff as well as anyone.  The Rams will have a good gameplan and should win this game.  

UNDER 52 1  STAR

    With Lions LaPorta out and the Rams having a good scheme against Goff The Hedgie sees the Lions leaning on the run more than usual.  The total is creeping higher from 50 to 52 and Hedgie sees this differently than most .
